That's actually pretty cool! That would be great to keep in my wife's truck for peace of mind but since it's electric I may stick with the manual for the track. Thanks!
12v runs off the lighter.
I use it with the car off with no issues. But I get it.

How much weight will it lift ?

And hopefully you put a jack stand or something under car too , so just in case your electric jack fails ?

I'll second the Pittsburgh 2 ton aluminium low profile jack from Harbor Freight. Used mine for about 5 years now, never a problem and it fits perfectly in the spare wheel well, along with the 2-piece handle, torque wrench, lugs, and one of my DRs.

It lifts the cat just fine. If the motor fails the jack fails in what ever position it is in.

Having only HEAVY steel jacks. I picked up this little jem when they were being discontinued at a store here. I found this listed at amazon.ca
Works great and is light. Plus it doesn't take a bunch of room in the trunk. Just bring a small 2x4 incase the parking lot isn't the best. View attachment 16828
I thought this is pretty cool and may pick one up. I looked on ebay and a company had it listed for $90 so I put it in my watch list. I went back and now it is $122! What the hell!

@moparjim...Walmart.com lists the same jack for $122.95. Also Powerbuilt website popped up 10% discount off $131.95...works out to 118 and some change.

I've been using it for 2 years now. I find myself using it at home sometimes. Works better than I would have thought. Bonus is it's light and doesn't take up much room.

Aluminum is not worth the extra money. You can get a steel 3 ton low profile for $79 bucks. I don’t find the weight that much different. Notice repair shops all use steel.

No way man, aluminum ALL the way. I switched over years ago and would never go back. I'd say my 2.5 Ton Pittsburg aluminum racing jack is half the weight of a steel one of similar size.

If you're ONLY dragging it around your shop floor, then I'd concede that aluminum might not be worth the extra money.

If you're loading your jack in the trunk of your car and going somewhere, or even into the back of your trailer, that heavy-ass back-breaking steel bitch SUUUUUUUUCKS. If one of you wants to send me an aluminum jack for Xmas, I'd be all kinds of grateful.

:)

I wouldn't even lug a steel jack around my shop, but I'm getting old and more lazy these days LOL.

I’ve seen your videos. You’re just a boy!:) At least, compared to an old guy like me.

I just checked and I miss spoke earlier. I forgot that with my
ZL-1 Addons pinch weld adapter I have to drive the front on a 2x4.
This doesn't always happen at the track due to the parking lot having ruts.

Here ya go. After I took the pic I took a quick video.
It takes about 30 sec to raise or lower the car. The lift point also unscrews for taller vehicles.

How tall is this height from the ground to the lifting pad 20200507_164154.jpg ? 7"? Thanks for the video..
