Is there a wax that is good, but quick and easy at the same time?
Just something that I can pour or spray on and give a wipe, and done.
Tired of labor intensive waxing, and especially residue in gaps, and around stuff like mirror bases etc.
I'm old, sore, tired, and come to like things easy.
Ideally the wax ferry would come monthly and wax my car, but apparently I pissed her off or something, and she never comes by.

I use carefully chosen wax and dry.products for the expeditions and even the tbird. Seemed to work fine. Not perfect, but then we cant have both. The sports cars I go w a good wax, or now the quartz w 5 year warranty. So no waxing at all.

Once you have a decent coat of wax/sealant, I like P&S Beadmaker. Wipe on & wipe off (like a quick detailer), you can do a whole car in 15 - 20 min. No residue in the cracks or streaks & even works on the windows. Lasts a few months depending on conditions, frequency of washes & type of soap.

getting old is a bitch ain't it

She doesn't come by because you call her a “ferry" instead of a “fairy"

A good ceramic base is the best way to never wax again. It’s a little more work than a wax job but is a bit more permanent.

I use Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Liquid wax and detail with Meguiars Ceramic detailer to maintain the shine. Works well for me.

Does that need a true ceramic base coat first? Or do you just put that over paint as is?

Everything I've read about ceramic is that you need to do paint correction to make it work right.

I'm no Concourse D'elegance type, and I don't have that type of time on my hands (while refusing to pay someone else to do it). But if the same, or less, effort is better than a standard carnauba wax then I'm onboard.

If you quartz with the 5 year warranty materials no wax or other stuff should ever go on on top of it (or at least that was the story in 2017 / 2018

Paint correction is not required. This is not the same as a ceramic job you’ll get at a detail shop. I did a light cut and polish before hand with a DA machine to get out some fine scratches. I used Meguiars products for this as well. Below shows the depth of the reflection…and my ugly Hellcat face :p D16649D6-C940-4E48-95FF-EE9F0B661556.jpeg

our cars then to be clay barred anyway...Most have been on the railway...when I bought mine the next weekend I clay barred it and you could see the junk that was in the clear coat.....but with the Meguiars Ceramic the fist time I just washed my car and dried it.After that use the Meguiars spray on wipe off....you know wax on wax off....lol but really it does work good. After that when you wash the car spray the Meguiars on while it's wet then dry. What I like about it is if it's dusty and you run thru a rain shower it's actually cleaner imo anyway

Thanks! Good to know. I have a set of brand new wheels that I'm likely going to do the real ceramic coat on.

I did some clay barring and light polishing the other week on the body paint. Looks a million times better, but still has some swirling I need to tend to. Might give this stuff a go next time around.

Meguiars Quick Wax

Wash the car.....leave it wet.....spray some of this on a towel.....apply to car while still wet......puts the wax on while helping you dry the car. Wipe off when dry. Doesn't leave a residue or make a lot of wax dust.

Been using it for years on cars, trucks, boats, airplanes.
