Radio not showing up

Everything on the radio works but when I scan the can bus it's grayed out which means it doesn't see it. I think.

Same with the security gateway. Its greyed out.

Car is a 2018 and I installed and connected to the double bypass module.


Anyone have or noticed this issue before?

Can't get alfa obd to communicate with it either. I can talk to all the other modules but the radio fails to connect.

As previously stated radio works 100% fine from my point of view. All the controls work hvac works GPS xm media hub etc.

Is there any way to see the vin from dealer mode or something like that using the uconnect ?

Clearly it's because you spelled gray/grey two different ways.

Well, here I go thinking again but, if everything works just fine and you aren’t having any problems, then why not just leave well enough alone? This has all the earmarks of “Help! Everything was working fine until I…”

Yeah I know. Just bothers me why?

The secure gateway doesn't show up either. Makes me wonder if it's a security thing and my scan tool doesn't have the power to see it or communicate. No luck with alfa obd either.

Alot of stupid errors like low tire pressure and low battery voltage. Cleared everything and now all the errors are related to the adaptive cruise control modules.

Pretty easy. Click on any module/colored box and you get a menu of everything you do. Chart is cool cause you get to see everything and how it's all connected. Each group is a different can bus.

I have a simple process...open door..get in fasten seat belt...push start button...warm up 5 min..exit garage...check gages ..drive away...check gages occasionally...thats it..repeat as necessary...

Was in HS from 68 to 71...Science/Chemistry were not my strong suits...Latin/English were my favorites..(you'd never know it as I use punctuation how ever I like)...

I was a history/science person. But since then, I couldn’t tell you anymore. I don’t remember much of school. Now I just work with my hands and my back to make a living. 🫡
