and what's with the rain 4 times a day...:unsure::unsure::unsure:
That is some of their summertime problems also. It calms down when the damn humidity and temps go down in the winter. I was down there for a weekend in January and actually golfed for two days and did not see it rain!

Our winter runs from about June 15th through September 15th. The rest of the year is beautiful.

We basically stay inside and limit our outdoor activities just like everyone else does in the winter.

Oh I understand that concept. Too bad. You need to visit us sir, I really don’t know anyone who limits outdoor activities from September 15-June 15. Which counters your “winter”; insinuating winter outside of Florida occurs opposite of that apparently tough period for you.

At least we can put on the right clothes in that period from Sep-Jan to play football outside and watch the trees turn color without frostbite. We score some fairly large fish actually in boats on real water not frozen. Once January and February come after we are able to enjoy a WHITE CHRISTMAS if we are lucky, many continue to fish, skate, play hockey, ski on flat lands and on hills and even ride motorized vehicles at high speeds in the wilderness. Wow, some people actually like sitting outside around camp fires and enjoying it during that period. Come March through June 15, we actually watch the place turn green, birds that seem a bit tropical (Hummingbird) return as early as May!

Too bad that is the price you all pay. We visit and live there in a temp basis when it is appropriate.

It's not that drastic. We still do plenty of things outside. Swim, beach, car events, music and dining.
We just spent 3 days last week hanging out lounging around the pool in a resort.

There has been a week or two this Summer when it’s been hotter in the Midwest than in Central Florida

We've bandied about the idea of being 'snowbirds', living here Dec - May and up north somewhere for the summers.
Just don't want the hassle & expense of owning 2 places & seasonal rentals are hard to find when you have large dogs.

I hate taking care of what we have now.
