Yeah some people do not get the concept of the courtesy stage...I mean at test and tune or casual track events plenty of people do not know about it, but at any racing event It is certainly assumed.

We watched the coverage on Fox yesterday, a rare Sunday at home and it was fun for sure.

Was funny seeing the John Force/Hagan stand off. Apparently he told him "I'm John f'in Force and I'll do what ever the hell I want!" Hagan looked like he was going to kill someone!

Crazy that Leah won due to the other driver getting heat exhaustion at the starting line in his car and he didn't race - wow!
TNT it doesn't really matter. When racing a pro tree in eliminations I think it does
I'm sure glad Ashley didn't run. He looked like he was going to pass out

So for us amateurs, don't you just stage yourself when you are ready to.
I've only drag raced my bike, and just 36 passes in my life, but nobody told me there were really rules to it. Pull up, trigger light one, slowly move ahead to trigger light two, keep both lit up until the tree goes green. So excuse my ignorance, but what are the actual rules? I didn't seem to piss anyone off, or if I did they stayed silent about it. I made passes in both lanes, sometimes I staged first, other times last, had 2 red lights, had 1 reaction time so bad my friend who was there with me also running her own bike, asked me after how the burger was. Hinting that I must have been eating a burger when the tree went green lol
All I know is that it was a lot of fun, and sometimes think that I should go do it again sometime, as that was a really fun long weekend. Didn't much matter how fast your car, bike, truck was, just how consistent you could be as it was bracket racing. I usually left last, as my bike was quicker than most of the vehicles there, a couple times I got to leave first.
I honestly enjoyed the practice runs as much as the actual racing. Didn't do anything special to my R1, let 8 psi out of the rear tire, and took the hole shot device off my motocross bike and put it on my R1, then had 2 people help me each time I needed to reset it, help me squash the front suspension down enough to get it set. I watched some drag racing on tv and in the stands, love feeling the bleachers shake when there live and the top fuel cars are out, but admit full ignorance to most of the rules.

Ps. I think new racers are so busy doing their own thing, that they pretty much ignore the other car/bike anyway. I had only 1 concern, not flipping over backwards lol

In heads up pro tree racing, once 1 driver pre stages he is suppose to wait for the other to pre stage. You are not suppose to go turn both lights on before the other driver is even near the starting line. It is called courtesy staging. Do you have to do it, no , but it does show disrespect to the other driver if you don't

test and tune and the like it doesn't matter since you are not in elimination rounds with the other driver. So that newbe driver just needs to find the starting line in a timely matter. On testing once I get to the line and I'm ready I will turn both lights sometimes. So 2 different things

Hagan fails covid test so Tommy is in the car and doesn't run Friday because the pin in the wheelie bar breaks on the line. Rains all day Saturday so he doesn't make the show:mad:
What happened to running on Monday for this race? There should have been qualifying on Sunday also:mad:

My newest die cast 1/24. Love this paint scheme last year when it came out and hoped they would make it and they did
