Hi guys I have a 2018 Charger Hellcat with 49,000kms and it's got a 2.5 Upper, 1440 Fic Injectors, Drop in Dual pumps and runs on E85. Started taking the car to the track more often and once i started creeping the high 9's i noticed a weird noise after my car shifts into 5th during my 1/4 mile runs. It sounds like it drops in power suddenly and doesn't want to continue climbing in RPM.

If anybody on this forum had similar experiences or knowledge on these transmissions could you please chime in. It is the stock hellcat transmission with a 2.62 rear.

I have linked a video with sound below.

The noise can be heard towards the end of my pass at 129mph.

All help and knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Data log and send it to your tuner

Unusual transmission noise (in any gear)..is not a good thing...sounds like a problem brewing

It's what he's interpreting as transmission noise, potentially. A 2.50 pulley is fast, I'm going to that pulley now. But I have a chiller to make up for the additional heat. If I didn't have one, car would be pulling power up top in the 1/4, which could possibly be what's happening here. But, he really needs to data log every run and if something weird is happening send it over to his tuner. Did it happen just this one time? Or every pass? My trans completely missed a shift before, engine went to redline. Hasn't happened again

Sounds almost like he's losing power right after the shift to 5th, the sound is decrease in supercharger whine from what I can tell. Something could be slipping, sounds like a drop in engine rpm almost
