Hemi Tick Lawsuit- The JUDGE Makes His Decision
"Three years ago I made a video talking about the Hemi tick lawsuit that the plaintiff's were trying to sue as a class action lawsuit.
Lawyers for FCA (Now Stellantis) issued a motion to dismiss the lawsuit based on a number of purported issues with the suit.
The Judge issued a memorandum Opinion ruling on this motion to dismiss."

Here is what AI gave me:

Hemi Class Action Lawsuit vs FCA – Likely Dead In The Water

Sky from Reignited just dropped a full breakdown on the current status of the HemiTech lawsuit against FCA (Fiat Chrysler/Stellantis) over alleged lifter/cam failures in Gen 3 5.7L & 6.4L HEMI engines (2014+). Here's the quick rundown:

  • Plaintiffs claimed FCA knowingly sold HEMI engines with defective MDS valvetrain systems that cause ticking, misfires, and early failures.
  • FCA filed a motion to dismiss; the judge ruled partially in favor of both sides.
  • Key ruling: The judge dismissed the nationwide class action claim, meaning only the original 5 plaintiffs can proceed — no class certification = no big lawsuit.
  • Many claims (fraud, concealment, breach of implied warranty) can proceed, but claims like unjust enrichment and express warranty breach were dismissed.
  • The plaintiffs' cases were too inconsistent (some had ticking, others had different failures), weakening the argument for a systemic design flaw.
  • Star Case reports and NHTSA complaints were allowed as evidence of FCA’s possible pre-sale knowledge, but the judge found the class too fragmented to continue as a nationwide suit.
  • Without class action status, the suit is likely dead due to lack of scope and lawyer incentive.

⚠️ Bottom line: This is probably the end of the road for a large-scale FCA HEMI class-action payout unless new plaintiffs with identical failures file again more strategically.
