Just a general sub-note: Rule of thumb is you need 3 diameters of thread engagement (depth) in alum to account for the approx 3x difference on strength. I try to use the longest screw that will fit and try for 3.5-4x. Shorter engagements definitely need steel inserts, but the inserts still need 1.5-2x min engagement.
I agree, the bolt they use for it doesn't have nearly enough thread engagement for aluminum to handle the torque they call for. It's all fixed now and better than ever

^^^Yeah the odds of a perfect paint match are so low, that door would always look a little off. I would just try to correct it as much as possible and leave it. Good luck!

Or maybe some of that silly scratch filler shit they advertise?
Never saw any of that scratch shit that works....I'd have to have it re painted..that would make me sick

Yeah but if they're good and can match it...do it...

I understand, and if it's deep enough, it will need it, but there exists the possibility that it's "only" into the clear-coat, and if so, it could be blended out...
