At that point,, does it matter?? When I hit 140, that is all I think of. Run flats my ass. At that speed they want last 1/4 mile. Heat will eat em up. Scary thought at any speed.

My run the other night was 0-184 in 22 seconds, 11.6 1/4 along the way, M6 rev limiter ended the run in 5th at 194
Front tire could have ended my life as well, this was the insides of it Saturday am when I had the new ones mounted
Yikes!! Gave me the willies

Truly disturbing. I would say that's the mechanical equivalent of a 90% clogged aorta artery and walking around unknowingly until you get hit with a massive and it's lights out, for good. What if you didn't want to upgrade front tires at this point for another top end run?
Blown motor, tranny, driveshaft, rear end....all suck. But it's just money and aggravation. Blown FRONT tire at speed? Don't even want to think about it.

Right there, demonstrated you get what you pay for, especially for these serious powerful machines that can break 150 in seconds.

Makes me WANT to keep paying top buck for all those Michelin tires I like.

That is why when I hit 140,,, all I think of the vette last year going over the Sky Way Bridge into St Pete doing 160 and tire came apart. The roll cage factory built did not help him,, at all. He was running chep tires not rated for that speed and came apart. The car flew apart. Just destroyed. If I decide to do this stunt, I will check the tires and pressure. Cheap tires want make the grade. Anything else can go and be a disaster, but a tire is deadly. Have seen it too many times. Specifically on bikes. Just be careful out there. Only as good as the knowledge of the equipment we enjoy. Have to be 10% smarter than the equip ment we enjoy.
