My dealer sent me an Email Friday to my work (I don't do emails and have no personal email address)...I have a VIN/...there was other info attached as well as the VIN...as of yet still haven't read it...@ least it's not a dear John letter that some seem to be experiencing...
Saw this window sticker online, yeah they came in an easy $10k more than originally expected when ordering, when I had once spec’d out it was like $118k with carbon fiber wheels and some stuff.
Interesting to note there is base hellcat price, $15k add on for redeye, then $20k to upgrade that to demon 170! So that’s a $35k factory build over a standard hellcat…so exotic motor upgrades, then just a pulley/supercharger/fuel system upgrade. Drivetrain parts too I guess…

I'm sure from the time my order was placed...there were probably some price increases of some sort..as long as there not in the form of an ADP I'll just pay it....aside from DD's...@ my age this is the last cool car I'm gonna buy...actually shoulda stopped @ the C8...space is becoming an issue..

so ppl who DID pay some level of adm could be in better position than the few who were told they had the car at msrp?
Do we have any lawyers in the house? What’s the legal recourse (if any) for this guy (and others) who signed a deal for msrp but may not longer get that deal?

I agree but apparently not everyone. In fact, I think there is a member on here who says he's getting his D170 at MSRP. If that's actually true I guess he will find out soon enough if his dealer is just another slimebag!
Who notarizes a car deal any way......now ..come down outta that tree before ya get hurt...BTW...my deal wasn't notarized..but it was @ MSRP deal...I'm not kiddin ya

Whatta mean you think..you know damn well it's an MRSP deal.(unless yer not payin attention)..I have a history with my dealer that spans four decades...even you should be able to figure out the integrity factor there...or maybe not...
So Butter, how common is this? Are ppl pinging you on your channel left and right or is this pretty rare? It might be too soon to tell with so few D170s in the wild at this point. Please give us your feedback/updates on this development as more cars get shipped to the dealers.

Yes it was. On the pages with the boxes you initialed stating you agree to each of the terms to purchase your car; you also had to initial next to either "Purchased at: MSRP or below or Above MSRP, and sign the document in front of a Notary. Remember?
It very well may have been...can't say with any degree of certainty...I really can't recall...signed a few documents that day...regardless my dealer has a great deal of integrity and my previous Demon was $1.00 under MSRP..and my HC was @ MSRP..(both deals mutually agreed upon @ time of order)...and both deals were honored..I have no reason to expect this deal to be an exception..there is something to be said for dealing with reputable establishnents

Trying to secure one of these by calling 100's of dealers coast to coast...and on both sides of the border is @ best a crap shoot...and generally a waste of time...never subscribed to that bottom feeder mentality..

What are you even talking about here? You are lucky no one shook your dealer down hard and forced that allocation to be a lot more $$$ or just bought it out from you all together.

Simply put....ya got a much better chance when dealing with a dealer you have a long standing relationship with...than a dealer you don't know a couple of hundred miles away or more that's got no idea who you are....it's a simple matter of integrity nothin to do with luck
