It might not be just a new engine if it blows & oils on the track & tires at 130 > 140 mph. :eek:

That's what I said too. Your speaking from experience.

Trying to get every .01 is not worth a engine, at lease to me.
I agree, just for the record these shift points were not choosen by me and that’s all that I’ll say.

Not even going there. New shift points have been chosen.

I dial mine back for normal racing since I'm always in the 10.00 classes, another reason I like them. When I'm trying to set a PB I have a tune labeled "Bring A Trailer" LOL

Hmm I could name mine "you are walking home" since I am a few miles away. :)

So looking through my trans tune which I haven't look at much been wanting to learn the engine side first. I notice my 1>2 shift is 5500 and my other shift are 6450 (RPM not Output shaft speed).
Is this normal for what you all are seeing or should I raise that 1>2 shift?

The answer is....it depends. If the tires spin it'll blow through the shift real fast and hit the rev limiter (bad IMO), so it really depends on how sticky the surface is and what tire you're running.

The answer is....it depends. If the tires spin it'll blow through the shift real fast and hit the rev limiter (bad IMO), so it really depends on how sticky the surface is and what tire you're running.
So why even from factory keep the 1>2 shift lower to begin with? Keep it in a better torque range?

Same reason to avoid hitting the rev limiter is my bet. If the tires spin fast things happen too quickly for all the pieces to fall in place to complete the shift.
