Having witnessed several lead acid battery explosions in my life. I know for a fact that they will blow up just as in the video I posted. The Hindenburg burned! because it was not in a sealed container. The thin skin did not allow for a pressure build. The same as pouring gun powder in a small pile and lighting it with a match, vs putting it in a sealed pipe with a fuse! We are talking about too totally different situations when comparing a sealed battery with the Hindenburg.

If/when we get hydrogen powered cars, I would hope that it's contained in a vessel that's much stronger than a battery case.

As I noted above, the inflammability and safety tolerances for hydrogen infrastructure are significantly higher than existing gasoline equipment. Pilot projects in South Korea (and Norway, also above) have experienced serious problems. There's always teething pains with a new technology but with hydrogen you're not going to be able to shade tree mechanic this stuff.

Biden is going to rush in electric cars as fast as he can, so that we will freeze to death the first winter when the power grid cant handle the extra load placed on it, because He shut down all the fossil fuel power plants, and didn't replace them with clean fuel plants first. You have to build the techknowledgy to support the change first. They are getting the cart in front of the ass.

They attempted to implement this back in the 70's. Bogus energy crisis, electric cars, unions going on-strike (attempt to shut-down travel and limit supplies), USA to metric system conversion, 55 MPH speed limit, etc... Well, here we go again, and this time they may succeed. If they do, I suppose it was meant to be.
