Yeah I think next year I may try the HHP's drag springs or OEM Demon springs. I'm likely going to give it until 2021 until I tune my car. Put some more miles on her and get more experience with the stock power. Gives me time to decide on what exactly I want to do.

Personally I wouldn't run that 3.17 without a tune. I know Litens says you can do it, but I wouldn't trust any added amount of boost without a tune (just to be on the safe side).
Hpindy has figured out a trick with the help of hellno to make the 3.17 litens work on our cars no tune and safe. PM me for details.

Your time has been added. Congrats on the new PB. That is a really good time with that 60ft. You should be able to shave some off of that 60ft and you will be 10.4s or better for sure.

man o man I know on the 60 foot. I was hammering out of the hole and hooking every single time but my best that day was 1.57. Personal best in same car is 1.53. But hey I'll take a slower 60 foot if thats what it takes to get into 10.5 ha, I was running 10.6 all day, then somehow on that final run WHOLLA. fell in love with her all over again. you know that feeling boys

Just semi recently on a well prepped track I was launching around 1800rpm (once I accidentally pushed the car past the converter and bumped it forward). At 18psi on my ET Rs, I was running consistent 1.49 60fts at about 600DA. My 1/8th was 6.74 @ 104.90 (Only 1/8th mile). After seeing your numbers I'm confident the quarter on my slip would have been a 10.4x (Possibly beating my record). So I'm not sure if you are going off idle or what, but try adding some RPM in there if you haven't already or play with tire pressure. You have a 10.4x slip for sure if you get that 60ft down to a 1.4x. Congrats on your personal best!

appreciate the nod sir. I always load up and these tires have yet to fail me. Unfortunately I don't know the RPM, I know I know I know don't shame me..."hows he not know what he's launching at". every time in staging lanes I tell myself to look buuuut when its go time I never remember. last week I was loading up more than ever and I know this bc I was on brake much harder and the hood rose up higher....thought for sure I was gonna creep thru beam.

I hear ya I just take a decent guess. I also did some practice on a side road, that's how I figured out the car will push past the brakes around 1900rpm or so. So I mostly just guess, but if track prep is great, I can load up to just before the car is pushed and the brakes can't hold it. Which is generally around 1800 rpm. What I haven't done too much is play with tire PSI. I generally run about 18psi. However, I've been told IF you aren't slipping and the track is holding great increase your psi in your tires for less drag and more mph.

I try and log my runs after each run. I write DA, RPM launch, and tire psi. That way I can compare slips, figure out which direction I headed in worked best. These Redeye's can hit 1.4x 60s, you're getting there, and better DA will help you too! Those 315s you are running should really hook, so adding some air in the tires might help too. I try and change one variable at a time, so I don't confuse myself, lol.

Congrats again.

I took a journey to get to this point. During the summer I had a 2.85 upper, 180 degree thermostat, catless mids installed. I also had suspension links installed so my 17" rims would fit. To be honest, I was pretty bummed out with a rating of 714 rwhp on the Mustang dyno. This was from a baseline dyno of 616 rwhp. I think they called the dyno a 'heart breaker'. I received the tune and the work was done by Peitz Performance near Katy, Texas. This car only has a 93 octane tune.

I took the car and made some passes as is at Lone Star MOPAR Fest in early October when the DA was around +2,000. It was a hot and miserable day at Houston Raceway Park. My best time that day was 10.424 @ 133.94 and considering I had a 2.85 pulley I expected a lot better time.

I had been thinking about getting a set of Demon springs, but don't have the tools or knowledge to install them. Luckily I have a buddy who is a mechanic so I bought the Demon springs and had them installed.

I was invited to a track rental at Houston Raceway Park on November 3 and looking at the weather reports, it appeared we would have real good weather. When I arrived I was first in line and the guys there were doing an outstanding job of prepping the track. I have full seats and full weight and the only prep I do was putting the Mickey R's (305/45/17) at 18 psi.

Since on only prior runs had a PB of 10.424 my goal was to get into the real low 10's, maybe in the 10.teens or even 10.zeros. I figured that only in a dream would I get into the high 9's.

So the track was ready and I lined 'em up. My Mickey's made a nice smoke show. As the green light went on, I revved up the car then launched hard. No spin, no nothing, but haul ass down the 1320 feet.

I knew I had made a great pass, but I didn't know what the time slip said as the time slips were at the starting line. Since I was the only one running, I made another immediate pass and this one felt the same as the first one. Pure hard launch, no spinning, no wheel hop. I did notice I was going into 5 th gear real near the end of the quarter mile, maybe about 50 feet from the end the car shifted.

I parked my car and walked over to the clip board and got both time slips, and there it was, the glorious 9.991 @ 136.95. I was literally blown away with the 60 foot times of 1.453 and 1.454 on the runs. There is no doubt in my mind that the Demon springs allowed my car a lot better launch than before I had them installed.

The question is this..........Do I have a 9 second car? Yes I do, however it took negative DA to get the time slip. As the day warmed up and the weather got hotter, I made a 10.07 and a 10.16 pass, which shows how much of a difference DA makes. Was my 9 second pass a 'hero' pass.........NO, because I was immediately backed up with a 10.02 and a 10.07 pass. Had I made the 9.991 pass followed up with 10.2 or 10.3 passes, then I would say I made a 'hero' pass.

Please bump my time.

9.925 @ 137.60........sixty foot of 1.446

Everything the same, except DA was -532.

The mph went up almost 1.7 mph while the time went down almost .07. Any improvement is good. To be honest, the DA was a bit better, however since this was a Friday test and tune, the track prep wasn't as good as on the track rentals.

Congrats on your new PB. I will update it Sunday. I am at the cottage which is in the bush in the middle of nowhere and I go in and out of cellphone reception.

in regards to the PSI I have never had the need to go below 20psi. The 315/17 is such a reliable option in my opinion. If I hook every time then there is no advantage to try anything below the 20psi right?

Correct, in fact if you are hooking and not slipping you can increase the PSI in your tires. Trying 22psi or so instead (small increments) and if the track still holds (without slipping), you could potentially go faster with a higher MPH. Once you start feeling slip either from your butt dyno (or your slip 60ft is off) then you back down the PSI until you get back to that sweet spot which gives maximum grip and minimum drag. I run 305s right now (Thinking about running 315s in the future), and on a good track day I need to try 20psi or a bit higher myself to test the difference.

Trap speed is a good indicator of how fast I know I'll go on that day. When I ran 130mph I was trapping 10.4x. People have ran 132mph(ish) and are trapping 10.3x. So any help including PSI in tires can make a difference of you making a new PB.

20psi hot is the number I normally run best at. I usually start at 21 psi cold and work my way down by equalizing the rear tires.

Someone commented on my YT channel they've run a 10.1 at 135 bone stock Hellcat RE on a tire with 1.42 60s. It was on my last "Track Testing Screwed Up" video.
