They definitely are a different construction (thinner) than a full time street tire. I ordered the NT05 110W's by mistake last week (#207-110), they are a "summer" tire with the same exact tread pattern, but much wider water grooves, like DOUBLE the drag radial (way less rubber on the ground)...

Hence the reason I'm not to worried about the warranty. There are more reasons they won't cover it than they will. Unless it's a safety recall or a blatant manufacturer defect, they will always try to not cover it , even if you have the extended. They're not in business to pay for things twice...
