It's a very interesting question. In todays world nothing is a straight line or black and white, everything's a gray area. Back in the "old" days they physically wouldn't engineer anything over @350ci (with the exception of Pontiac) without going to a physically larger block. Generally. 350-400...
Ok this all great information but you gotta' ask yourself why? Meaning, that's no accident. That pad is cut that way. Again meaning, this is an EXTRA process and more time (and theoretically money) to make it. You can see the material was there and taken away. There must be a reason. Maybe...
Well, being that your 5'8" I know you need them and they'll be put to good use, so I'll PM you a pic of my Imelda Marcos size collection and you get to pick out one pair for FREE. ;)
That's funny right there! I hadn't seen this before today. Ha ha Ha ha. If your Italian, you'll remember the, aunt, or grandma, who wouldn't let you in the living room and had the furniture covered in plastic. My aunt had a velvet red block off rope to boot like they have at the movie...

I put an Magnuson kit on my '09 a few years back. It was a complete kit with a pre-made tune for the setup. The car ran fine, but I just could not trust "the black box magic" in a can because I wasn't sure of the altitude and fuel it was made with compared to where I am on Long Island, so I...
You and @Old Mopar Guy are about same amount of crazy. You wash your car every hour on the hour. He polishes the exhaust pipes on a street car! I'll walk away slowly and quietly now.....no fast moves....shhhh .....
Went out to put the new registration sticker I just got on the windshield and while I was out there I snapped pic with flashlight on rotor. No heat in garage and its 48 and raining. Not wanting to sit on concrete floor . Same weather tomorrow. Maybe next weekend. Lol. Sorry.
I will say a few...
