Dude.......stick to transmissions!. Seriously, sh&* happens to even the most experienced guys. I brought an old van I had, in to get some brake work done at my local guy. It was winter, cold and shi^&y out and didn't want do it in the street outside. Long story short, won't bore you with...
Punched myself in the face.
I was 16 and bought a '66 Chevelle convertible with a 350 small block that was getting water in the oil. (Gray muck all on the dipstick). Pulled the heads and swapped them for a known good set (194 junior Fuelies), hoping the crack was in the heads and not the...
Was just gonna ask if all the rear bracing and lockout stiffened the ride. Did you go around block or anything? Or just installed for now 'till spring?
Thank You for finding the article's you read and then posting them. What I find amazing is how much we get in form of performance vs. price compared to other brands. I read the other thread on the Tesla you posted also. ALL the car's that beat the hellcat RE's are hugely more money.(2x + in most...
Thanks for the reply. From what your saying, it looks like a new perf. spare kit would be mine with a spacer included, I guess. Not a whole new stamping on the rim.
Interesting thread. You said you replaced the end cap bearings and no big deal. Are you saying there are other bearings internally on the rotors like support bearings on a cluster shaft in a manual tranny? Or thrust bearings inside the housing like a crank thrust bearing? I dunno I've never...
No not at all. I just had a performance spare tire I paid good money for in my '09 SRT and was gonna transfer to the RE but doing a test fit it just missed clearing the bigger Brembo's on the RE so it was a bust. But I did get some stats and wheel weight on the new RE stuff. Thanks for asking.
I ogled in awe at my new RE Brembo's!!! LOL. I took the front wheel off to see if my custom spare from my '09 SRT would fit . When I took it off I was like. "wow..WOW...WOW! Those things are HUGE".(At least compared to my '09 SRT's 4 piston Brembo's). I also really dug the screen in the lower...
Today I removed the Performance Spare tire (from Performance spare tire co.) I put in my '09 SRT a few years back. I was hoping to transfer it the RE I recently bought. Did a test fit and would not clear the bigger front Brembo's by just a hare. But there's a bit of irony here. Yesterday I...
Ok. So today I removed the back seat delete kit from my '09 SRT and replaced it with the original backseat. Sort of a "reverse" rear seat delete. LOL. I did this for future use on my RE. ANYWAY, I figured while I was doing it let me get a real world read on the weight difference between the full...
Ya know when I bought my '09 SRT The guy who sold it told me there was a waiting list for the stick. You could not get it in '08 with the original Challenger. Every body wanted The "big bad" 425HP hemi with a stick (Hellcat wasn't out yet). Now the pendulum has swung the other way. Such is life.
